Damnation

As an atheist, I find the whole concept of gods easy to categorise. They go in the box with the Easter bunny and the tooth fairy.

However, there is a little part of me that hopes Mr Van Dyk has discovered that I’m wrong, and he’s now having unpleasant and difficult conversations about his actions.

Dyk by name.

As a brief aside, I’ve only worked for two companies which spontaneously performed minor acts of reward to their staff - one made huge redundancies a couple of months later, and my present/previous employer (*) has decided to put the 10p a cup vending machines on “free” whilst outsourcing over 100 people. The availability of free drinks tends indicate something is wrong elsewhere.

(*) I’ve worked for my previous employer, quit, went back as a contractor, was taken on permanently, and then outsourced. So although I’m no longer employed by them, I still work for them. Odd world, eh?
